Heartland Credit Union is looking for Commercial Loan Processor. The ideal candidate will will assist commercial lending staff and members with lending activities.

WORK DETAILS

Must be available Monday - Friday, 8:00a.m.- 5:00 p.m.

This position can work at our Support Center, located at 4000 N. Monroe in Hutchinson, KS or our Maize Branch, located at 3777 N. Maize Rd in Wichita, KS.

No weekends!

RESPONSIBILITIES FOR THE COMMERCIAL LOAN PROCESSOR

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following activities:

• Prepares loan documentation, ensuring terms and conditions align with loan approvals.
  
• Orders and verifies all required support documentation, coordinating with loan officers, members, and vendors to address any outstanding requirements.
  
• Coordinates loan closings, ensuring all necessary signatures and funding conditions are met before disbursement.
  
• Processes loan funding, disburses funds, and establishes tracking mechanisms to ensure lien perfection, accurate recording of loan documents, and ongoing monitoring of loan agreement covenants, insurance, real estate taxes, and UCC filings.
  
• Maintains accurate and organized loan records within HCU's documentation storage system, ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal standards.
  
• Prepares loan documentation for modifications, renewals, and extensions, conducting collateral documentation reviews as part of the annual review process.
  
• Reviews and processes quality control reports, file maintenance, account balancing, and other documentation to maintain loan accuracy and compliance.
  
• Provides payoff quotes and facilitates collateral releases in accordance with policies and procedures.
  
• Assists with resolving issues related to loan payments, billing discrepancies, and account concerns, ensuring prompt and effective resolutions.
  
• Attends and records minutes for Business Loan Committee meetings, maintaining detailed and accurate records of discussions and decisions.
  

REQUIREMENTS FOR THE COMMERCIAL LOAN PROCESSOR

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Previous lending experience or loan processing experience helpful.
• Minimum one-year related experience.
• Solid communication abilities.
• Well-organized and attentive to detail.
• Able to meet deadlines and manage projects
• Ability to understand, interpret, and enforce policies and procedures.
• Able to operate related computer applications and PC.
• Proficient in MS Office including Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Flexible and open to change.
• Stationary for extended periods of time.
