Heartland Credit Union is looking for a Consumer Loan Processor. If you enjoy providing great customer service and are a detail-oriented person then this may be the right fit for you. Our Loan Processing department provides in-house support for all Heartland lending departments including consumer, mortgage, commercial and indirect. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.

SCHEDULE

This person will work a flexible schedule Monday thru Friday between 8:00 a.m. 6:00 p.m. and on a rotating Saturday 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

LOCATION

Our Loan Processing department is located in the Support Center at 4000 N. Monroe in Hutchinson.

ABOUT THIS POSITION

The successful candidate will have the following responsibilities:

  • Obtains credit information and verifies loan collateral.
  • Works with dealers to process loan files and fund in a timely manner. Reviews files for missing documents, inconsistencies, and accurate interest and LTV calculations.
  • Works with loan officers to process and fund all consumer loan products. Reviews files for missing documents, inconsistencies, and accurate interest and LTV calculations.
  • Creates relevant files and maintains existing files within the department. Performs file maintenance as necessary. Monitors tracking reports and monthly reports.
  • Assists loan staff with disbursement of new and existing loans.
  • Files loan documents with the appropriate agencies.
  • Works with loan staff, members, and investors to address quality control exceptions.
  • Ensures that member related documents are scanned accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Receives and screens telephone calls. Answers routine questions or directs them to appropriate personnel. Records and relays messages.
  • Ensures document scanning procedures are kept current and communicated with staff.
  • Balance/review related department GLs on a monthly basis.
  • Supports and assists other loan processing personnel as necessary.
  • Provides exceptional service and support to frontline lending staff and other HCU staff members.
  • Cross-trains within the Loan Processing department to provide assistance and back-up for other team members.
  • Provides superior service to our members and HCU staff.
  • Ensures members are promptly and professionally served.
  • Attends meetings and training sessions as required.
  • Proactively supports and advances HCU's brand platform.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS:

  • High school graduate or equivalent.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Previous experience with lending or loan processing preferred.
  • At least one to two years of office relate experience required.

SKILLS:

  • Accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Well organized.
  • Good verbal and public relations skills.
  • Experience using MS Suite including Outlook, Excel and Word.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Sedentary work; sitting most of the time.
  • Exerts up to 10bs.of force occasionally.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must have a valid driver's license.
