Heartland Credit Union is looking for a Debit Card Specialist to help oversees debit card operations, commercial deposit services and related functions. Looking for a positive, friendly and motivated individual. Must be able to work a flexible schedule and work well independently, within a team, on multiple projects, in a fast-paced environment. WORK DETAILS

The successful candidate can work at our Support Center, located at 4000 N Monroe, Hutchinson or our Maize branch, located at 3777 N. Maize Rd. in Wichita.

Office hours, Monday - Friday 8:00a.m. - 6:00p.m. No Weekends

RESPONSIBLITIES FOR THE DEBIT CARD SPECIALIST

  • Ensures debit card processing functions are efficiently, effectively, and accurately performed in accordance with established policies, standards, and program requirements.
  • Performs all related debit card account maintenance including record creation, edits, error corrections, etc.
  • Manages card dispute activities, including posting provisional credits, sending cardholder notifications, etc.
  • Support frontline staff, including coordinating and providing training as needed.
  • Coordinates with vendors, compliance, and marketing for promos or program changes.
  • Keeps senior management informed of area activities and of any significant problems. Provides suggestions and input for policy/procedure changes, improvement of department processes and effectiveness.
  • Ensures employee requests and questions are promptly resolved.
  • Responsible for maintaining acceptable quality control standards.
  • Provides training and applicable information related to Payment Solutions duties to staff and members.
  • Assumes responsibility for the effective and timely performance of administering the debit card and commercial deposit services programs and related functions.
  • Provides superior service to our members.
  • Pro-actively support and advance HCU's culture.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS FOR THE DEBIT CARD SPECIALIST

  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Previous office experience preferred.
  • Two years of financial institution experience or similar/related experience preferred.
  • Solid analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work and handle multiple tasks concurrently.
  • Excellent decision-making skills.
  • Strong written and oral communications skills.
  • Comfortable using and assisting others with technology.
  • Proficient in MS Office programs.
  • Sedentary work; stationary most of the time.
