Heartland Credit Union is seeking a dynamic and experienced Facilities Manager to oversee the efficient operation of Heartland's 11 locations. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude and building maintenance experience to perform a variety of tasks. Responsibilities include conducting routine inspections, troubleshooting issues, and performing repairs as needed to maintain our open property, buildings, equipment, utilities, furnishings, vehicles, and grounds.

SCHEDULE

Full-time: 40 Hours per week, flexible schedule between the hours 7:00am – 6:00pm

LOCATION

Support Center 4000 N. Monroe Hutchinson, KS

Travel will be required to all HCU facilities. Company vehicle provided.

ABOUT THIS POSITION

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following activities:

• Directs and schedules outside vendors/contractors, including electrical, mechanical, plumbing, janitorial, etc.
• Establishes and maintains effective communication, coordination, and working relationships with HCU personnel, management, vendors, and service providers.
• Performs and arranges scheduled preventative maintenance and cleaning. Completes inspections and tests and maintains logs and records reflecting results.
• Performs minor building and furniture modifications or repairs involving carpentry, painting, wiring, and overhauling.
• Oversees day-to-day operation of the building security and access control systems.
• Provides emergency, 24-hour on-call service as required.
• Reviews scheduled cleaning work, snow removal, and lawn maintenance completed by outside services.
• Pro-actively support and advance HCU's brand platform.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:

• High school graduate or equivalent.

EXPERIENCE:

• Knowledge of janitorial equipment and maintenance procedures.
• Basic understanding of blueprints and the operation of electrical, mechanical, heating, cooling, and plumbing equipment.
• Basic automotive repair knowledge and experience.
• Previous maintenance experience required.

SKILLS:

• Good mechanical and problem-solving abilities.
• Well organized and able to work well independently.
• Project management skills
• Good people skills
• Ability to work well with others
• Able to coordinate well with others and professionally assist others as needed.
• Attentive to detail.
• Able to operate drills, electrical tools, meters, timers, hand tools, carpentry tools, and all related machinery.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

• Valid driver's license.
• Complete required screenings.

WORKING REQUIREMENTS:

Subject to outside environmental conditions occasionally, inside conditions frequently. Frequent travel. Ability to stand, crouch and kneel. Standing and walking for long periods of time. Movements frequently and regularly required using the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. Medium work; exerting up to 50 lbs. occasionally, and/or up to 20 lbs. frequently, and 10 lbs. constantly.
