Heartland Credit Union is seeking a resourceful and tech-savvy Knowledge Management Specialist to help shape the way our employees access and engage with information. This pivotal role supports internal learning and operational efficiency by maintaining knowledge systems like Microsoft SharePoint, AI-powered tools, and our Learning Management System (LMS). WORK DETAILS

In-office position, located at 900 E. 23rd Ave, Hutchinson. Full-time, 36-40 hours per week, office hours are 8-5pm, Monday - Friday.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develops, organizes, and maintains knowledge assets on Microsoft SharePoint Sites, SharePoint Pages, and related platforms to ensure accessibility and accuracy.
  • Manages and updates AI and virtual assistant content (Microsoft Copilot) to support real-time employee guidance and self-service.
  • Partners with subject matter experts to translate policies, procedures, and technical content into user-friendly formats.
  • Assists in creating and maintaining instructional materials such as job aids, scripts, manuals, handbooks, visual guides, and tutorials.
  • Uploads and manages training content within the Learning Management System (LMS) ensuring alignment with departmental and organizational needs.
  • Supports digital learning initiatives by coordinating updates and version control of learning assets across departments.
  • Works closely with department leaders, frontline teams, and subject matter experts to collect, review, and implement updates to knowledge content.
  • Acts as a resource for employees seeking assistance with knowledge platforms, tools, and content navigation.
  • Identifies gaps or inconsistencies in knowledge resources and proactively recommends solutions to enhance usability and effectiveness.
  • Ensures information is current, relevant, and consistently presented across all knowledge repositories.
  • Develops and delivers training sessions, guides, and tutorials to ensure employees can confidently access, navigate, and utilize knowledge systems such as SharePoint, LMS, and AI-based tools.
  • Provides superior service to our members promptly and professionally.
  • Pro-actively support and advance HCU's brand platform.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.
  • Attends meetings and training sessions as required.

REQUIREMENTS

  • High School degree; or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to assist and support others.
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Effective interpersonal and relationship-building skills
  • Highly self-motivated and able to work independently
  • Able to operate related computer applications and PC.
  • Proficient in MS Office including Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Flexible and open to change.
