Heartland Credit Union is looking for a full-time Programmer to work at our Support Center branch in Hutchinson. If you are passionate about technology and software building, then this is for you. A successful programmer pays attention to detail while creating quality coding and analyzing features, functions, and sections of software programs related to the operation of the credit union. SCHEDULE

Monday - Friday and rotating Saturdays (8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.). Will also be on-call, during the week on a rotating schedule.

DUTIES OF A PROGRAMMER

  • Assists in the development, implementation, and maintenance of various systems to support the credit union and meet the needs of our growing organization.
  • Works with project groups to determine needed functionality and development solutions of future systems.
  • Assists in flow charting and diagramming processes and provides documentation of programming activities as needed.
  • Designs easy to read programming code that can be adjusted and reused in future systems.
  • Checks functionality of programming code and ensures that assigned sections are completely bug free.
  • Makes recommendations to increase efficiency in project development, supports team members, and ensure that deadlines are met.
  • Ensures credit union team members are promptly and professionally served.
  • Attends meetings and training sessions as required.
  • Provides superior service to our members.
  • Proactively support and advance HCU's brand platform.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR A PROGRAMMER

Education:

  • High school graduate or equivalent with two years of additional computer training or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Experience Required:

  • One to two years of related programming experience required.
  • Advanced knowledge of Git, Bootstrap/AngularJS, web-services, mobile application development is a plus. Experience with database administration, including design, installation, configuration, management, and optimization. Experience with.Net, SQL, HTML/JavaScript/CSS, Python, PHP, and Linux servers preferred.

  • Solid organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Strong project management abilities.
  • Willingness to assist others and support others.
  • Able to operate all related computer applications and hardware.

Physical Requirements:

  • Sedentary work; sitting most of the time. Exerts up to 30 lbs. of force occasionally.
