WORK DETAILS FOR CONSUMER LOAN PROCESSOR POSITION

In-office position, located at 4000 N. Monroe, Hutchinson. Full-time, 36-40 hours per week, office hours are 8-5pm, Monday - Friday.

No evenings or Sundays!

RESPONSIBILITIES

The successful candidate will have the following responsibilities:

  • Conducts comprehensive quality control reviews of consumer loans and new account files to ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and established quality standards.
  • Reviews the full loan lifecycle including application intake, underwriting, funding, servicing, and collections for accuracy, completeness, and risk.
  • Identifies discrepancies, errors, and risk variances; escalates significant findings and recommends corrective actions to appropriate departments.
  • Provides support in documenting technical requirements and mapping process flows for new or updated quality assurance procedures.
  • Verifies the accuracy and completeness of signed documents and supporting data to ensure they align with member account information and product requirements across various loan and account types, including auto, indirect, Express, ODP, Signature, HELOC, VISA, and general consumer, youth, and fiduciary accounts.
  • Maintains documentation related to Customer Identification Program (CIP), Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), and related compliance requirements.
  • Prepares detailed reports outlining audit results, including root cause analysis, impact assessment, and recommendations for process or documentation improvements.
  • Supports the development and maintenance of operational workflows, procedures, and checklists related to loan origination and new account processing.
  • Assists in the development of internal control testing procedures and ongoing monitoring of key risk indicators (KRIs).
  • Identifies trends or recurring errors and collaborates with department managers to recommend process changes and targeted training to reduce defects and improve consistency.
  • Assists consumer loan processing staff with general support needs, contributing to smooth operations and timely resolution of quality-related issues.
  • Collaborates across departments to streamline quality control procedures and improve consistency in documentation standards and file accuracy.
  • Provides superior service to our members and HCU staff.
  • Ensures members are promptly and professionally served.
  • Attends meetings and training sessions as required.
  • Proactively supports and advances HCU's brand platform.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Experience with loan processing functions and or working in lending is helpful.
  • At least one to two years of office relate experience required.
  • Data analysis and reporting.
  • Well organized and attentive to detail.
  • Ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to effectively collaborate.
  • Good verbal and public relations skills.
  • Experience using MS Suite including Outlook, Excel and Word.
  • Sedentary work; stationary most of the time.
