Training Facilitator

Heartland Credit Union is looking for a Training Facilitator. With vision, focus and passion, the ideal candidate will assist the Learning and Development Manager in planning, facilitating, and managing HCU's employee education and training programs in accordance with Heartland's strategic vision.

SCHEDULE
Office hours - Monday- Friday.
LOCATION
In-office position, located at our downtown Hutchinson branch located at 129 West Avenue A.
RESPONSIBILITIES FOR TRAINING FACILITATOR
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following activities:
- Responsible for developing, facilitating, and conducting, where appropriate, effective, and comprehensive training programs utilizing internal and external resources.
- Researches, develops and creates educational tools including handbooks, manuals, scripts, workbooks, tutorials, visual aids, and related materials.
- Ensures that HCU personnel are well-trained in their respective positions. Ensures that employee on-the-job training programs, and other training programs are efficient, appropriate and timely.
- Assists management and employees in identifying individual, departmental, and organizational training and development needs to meet established goals and objectives.
- Formulates training and education plans specific to the position and/or department and selects the most appropriate delivery approach, including but not limited to one-on-one training, group instruction, eLearning courses, skill practice, tutorials, webinars, and/or seminars.
- Facilitates "The Heartland Experience" education program and integrates its concepts into other learning content, training programs, and courses for new and existing employees.
- Creates and maintains an annual educational calendar and assists with budget.
- Assists in planning and coordinating all education events and presentations including the annual staff development and leadership development days.
- Assists with the planning and coordinating of education events and presentations for HCU members.
- Maintains HCU's learning management system.
- Collaborates with and assists HCU departments and staff.
- Performs all other duties and special projects as assigned.
- Completes required reports and related documents promptly and accurately. Ensures reports are made and submitted according to established regulations and deadlines.
- Attends and participates in meetings and training as required.
- Ensures changes in legal requirements and government regulations are integrated into current practices.
- Stays informed regarding changes in training practices and trends.
- Pro-actively supports and advances HCU's brand and culture.
REQUIREMENTS FOR TRAINING FACILITATOR
- Associate degree or equivalent experience.
- At least two years of related experience in education/training and development is preferred. Experience coordinating events and activities. Group facilitation and training experience preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and public relations skills.
- Excellent organizational and analytical abilities. Strong verbal communication and facilitation skills. Solid writing skills.
- Ability to assist and support others.
- Ability to handle multiple projects and respond to continually changing priorities.
- Able to operate related computer applications and PC.
- Proficient in MS Office including Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Flexible and open to change.
- Stationary for extended periods of time.
- Valid driver's license.
