WORK DETAILS

This person will work from our downtown Hutchinson branch, located at 129 West Avenue A Hutchinson, KS 67501 OR at our 23rd and Severance Branch located at 900 E 23rd Avenue Hutchinson, KS 67502

Hours: Must be available to work 36-40 hours per week, between 7:45 am - 5:45pm M-F and 8:45am - 12:15pm on rotating Saturdays.

NO Evenings or Sundays!!

RESPONSIBILITIES

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following activities:

• Greets customers entering the branch, directs them to the correct staff member for assistance and provides assistance with ATM usage, coin counting machine, safety deposit boxes and other branch services.
• Responsible for providing excellent customer service while performing a variety of paying and receiving functions including processing deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, cashiers' checks, money orders, and cash advances.
• Maintains sufficient currency and coin to meet HCU's needs. Maximizes fund utilization.
• Prepares currency and coin for shipment. Counts and verifies currency shipments.
• Responsible for maintaining cash drawer limits for Tellers.
• Vault oversight and Teller functions are efficiently, effectively, and accurately performed in accordance with established policies, standards, and security procedures.
• Verifies cash totals and balances each day's transactions.
• Educate members of credit union products and services.
• Balances ATM machines, coin counters, and cash dispensing/recycling machines in a timely and accurate manner.
• Ensures members are promptly and professionally served.
• Attends meetings and training sessions as required.
• Provides superior service to our members.
• Proactively support and advance HCU's brand platform.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Previous customer service and cash handling experience preferred.
• Experience working in a financial institution is helpful but not required.
• Proficient with technology and variety of software including MS Office: Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Well organized and attentive to detail.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to move 30 lbs. occasionally and/or up to 10 lbs. frequently.
• Stationary for extended periods of time.
